Total flashback...

As someone who participated in the Peking to Paris rally, this book by Patrick and Reinhard is a perfect reflection of the journey’s highs, lows, and unforgettable moments. Reading it felt like stepping back into the driver’s seat, reliving the dust-filled challenges, camaraderie, and triumphs.

Kazakhstan’s unforgiving terrain brought back vivid memories, especially my own car’s breakdown due to the relentless dust. The heartbreak of pulling it out of the race and replacing it was a defining moment, and Patrick and Reinhard captured the raw emotion of such experiences beautifully.

The storytelling brings the rally to life—not just the mechanics of the race, but the friendships, struggles, and ultimate joy of reaching Paris. This book is a must-read for anyone craving adventure and a deep dive into the human piece of such an event. A brilliant tribute to an extraordinary journey!

Expect the unexpected

Reinhard and Patrick I was not expecting that...you have reproduced the very essence of the trip. As I read it I was transported back to the adventure and each day as it unfolded. Thank you for doing such a brilliant job for everyone to enjoy for many years to come.
